Lee Myers, one of McAusland’s long-serving Senior Marine Surveyors based in Hull visited the Port of Goole in February 2020.
The main task was to investigate wetting on a vessel transporting fertilizer cargo from Hamburg, Germany to the UK.
Wetting is condensation that could affect the ship’s bulk cargoes and happens when the ship’s steelwork is rapidly cooled by external conditions which in turn moisture in the air near the cargo condenses on cold steel surfaces.
