We are very pleased to announce our forthcoming acquisition of Robmarine Shipping which is scheduled to take place officially on 1st April 2019. On that date we will continue to trade the company under the name of Robmarine Shipping but it will become part of the expanded McAusland & Turner Group.
Robmarine began its professional practice in the early 1990’s. Its growth over the past 25 years has been predominantly internal, stemming from the referrals of their client base and those of other professionals. They decided to seek a merger with another firm because they believe that a larger organisation will allow them to provide a wider array of services and more depth. As you know, in our industry, finding and retaining excellent people is a constant challenge. A larger organisation will also mean their future development will benefit from even more and stronger opportunities.
McAusland & Turner and Robmarine share the same values. Robmarine conducted an extensive search within our industry looking for an opportunity like this and the name of McAusland & Turner was regularly mentioned to them. Robmarine’s MD, Michael Robertson said “McAusland’s exceeded our hopes for a firm we can combine with and continue the tradition we have for excellent service, deep expertise, and an environment our clients and associates want to be a part of. We will be able to provide our clients with many new services and areas of expertise in the future and we look forward to discussing those in more depth with them. However, there are several things I want to point out that will not change:
•You will continue to work with the same people in Robmarine as you have in the past. I am being retained in my current role.
•Our fee structure will not change.
•The services we have provided you in the past will continue to be offered
by the combined firm.
•Correspondence services provided by Robmarine P&I Services Ltd
(Dar/Es/Salaam) will remain unchanged.”
For the time being, Robmarine will continue to operate from it’s current offices and all the contact information for them will remain the same except Mike’s e-mail addresses will change. His new contact details will be email@example.com.
McAusland’s MD, Albert Weatherill added “This acquisition fits perfectly with our expansion programme and further enhances the McAusland’s brand. We see this as a great asset which also fits with our plans to further expand into a dedicated office in the City of London. I will be making a further announcement regarding that in due course.
