Mike Weatherill

Director, MIIMS.

Mike has been with the company since 1986 having previously served as a Master on general cargo vessels, semi-submersibles, jack-ups and drilling ships.  Mike has also held the position of Offshore Installation Manager within the oil industry as well as superintendent overseeing the building of a semi-submersible drilling rig for BP. This extensive experience in the offshore industry as marine warranty surveyor and consultant also involved load/float outs and also sub-sea components. Has has also acted as towmaster for rig location moves. Mike's sea going experience also included time as master of the world's largest floating fish meal factory responsible for the operation of a fleet of fishing vessels, production and self-discharging of cargoes.  This wide and varied experience is rarely found these days and proves invaluable to our clients.

Mike is also a member of the Nautical Institute and a founder member of the International Institute of Marine Surveyors.
