Chief Engineer Ian served initially at sea with the P&O group as an Engineer Officer then for 10 years as Superintendent for a group of ships. He gained First Class Certificates for both Steam and Motor ships. Recently he has worked with the RNLI managing the technical operations of 42 lifeboat stations increasing his knowledge of smaller vessels. He qualified with merit in his Diploma in Marine Survey and also holds formal qualifications in Risk Assessment and Health and Safety, as well as Dangerous Cargoes. He sails in his spare time and has qualified as Yacht Master in both Sail and Motor yachts. Ian is based in Ipswich and operates form our office there.
