Bill brings over 30 years experience to Macausland’s marine cargo and liability offering. Former UK head of the Global Marine Transportation Division at a major international firm of loss adjusters and claims handlers, he has extensive experience handling losses worldwide. His expertise covers Marine Cargo, P&I Clubs UK and overseas, GIT liability, stevedores and port operators liability, terminal security, risk prevention and smallcraft.
He frequently advises on major and complex losses such as the “HOEGH OSAKA”, the 2013 flooding (UK east coast ports), loss of a ship’s engine (Korea), superyacht fire damage (Brazil), jetty collapse with cargo (Argentina), heavy equipment and plant damage, major theft, and other cargo and liability claims.
Bill is a member and has served on the committee of the British Association of Cargo Surveyors (MBACS).
